The mission of the Yachats Academy of Arts & Sciences is to provide educational and entertainment opportunities for people on the central Oregon coast. Sponsored by Polly Plumb Productions, we encourage the residents of the village of Yachats, Oregon to work with Academy board members to organize those events that they judge to be most enjoyable.

See the natural world through an artist's eye! Join Zebith Thalden for an engaging talk on the intersection of science and art: nature illustration. Participants will learn about the process of studying and documenting the incredible world of insects using pencil lines, paint, and colored pencil. Books will be available for purchase and can be signed by the author.
