UO marine biology Professor Craig Young presents the making of IMAX film "Born in the Abyss," featuring footage from the submersible ALVIN and research on deep sea larvae in extreme environments including deep methane seeps, a submarine volcano and deep-sea hydrothermal vents along mid-ocean ridges.
The film will be released in spring 2026; come see a preview!!
